Problem Note 20033: Parameters might cause query syntax errors in SAS® Enterprise Guide®
The following warning and similar error message might be generated
while creating a query in SAS Enterprise Guide:

WARNING: Apparent symbolic reference TEST not resolved.
ERROR 22-322: Syntax error, expecting one of the following:
a name, a quoted string, a numeric constant, a
datetime constant, a missing value, BTRIM, INPUT,
LOWER, PUT, SUBSTRING, UPPER, USER.
This will most likely occur if the Expression Builder window contains
a reference to a parameter.
To circumvent the problem, right-click on the Query and choose
Properties. Select Parameters in the Properties window and then click
Add to select the parameter used in the Expression Builder window. Then
rerun the query.
